MED Series By Accucold

Accucold’s MED Series includes all-refrigerators, all-freezers, and select refrigerator-freezers designed to improve temperature uniformity and keep facility staff aware of the general temperature conditions. All units are equipped with a NIST certified alarm (calibrated in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory), along with several other medical grade features commonly requested by the scientific refrigeration industry. The MED option is available on a variety of compact, counter height, built-in, ADA compliant, and mid-sized all-refrigerators, all-freezers, and refrigerator-freezers. Many units in this series are approved to NSF commercial standards.

All MED units include the following standard features:

High/low temperature alarm with a NIST certified display of the current and high/low temperature to the nearest tenth of a degree in Celsius or Fahrenheit
Hospital grade cord with a ‘green dot’ plug for sturdier installation in wall sockets
Access port for users to install their own additional monitoring equipment
Factory installed keyed lock
Interior fan with heat sink to help stabilize interior temperature from top to bottom (refrigerators only)
Flat interior door liner without shelves as recommended by the CDC (most units)
Wire shelves for improved air circulation throughout the interior
Foamed-in-place cabinet for efficient insulation
